Game On!

Getting ready to watch my girls' softball team play their third game today. So far they're one for two, but confidence is high for this game. They made me this cool sign, been hanging it by the Gatorade cooler all day.

Final draft of Blademage Adept is submitted, four full days ahead of schedule. Presales are crazy, and my favorite librarian is a little freaked out by the donation I've pledged. Details are forthcoming, might try and get out in front of the conventional media for this at first.

Apprentice Swordceror is on sale in the US and UK this week (my apologies to areas that are ineligible for Countdown Deals). Journeyman Warsmith will be on sale the following week, leading up to the release of Blademage Adept. Countdown Deals are best at the beginning, so if you are interested, buy early.

Full steam ahead on the next one! Already a few chapters ahead of where I thought I would be. Plenty of back catalog work to be done on slow inspiration days. Things are looking good.

ErRoR

We discovered a mistake the other day, one that we cannot remedy right away. The proper technicians have been notified, and we assume (translate: hope) that the changes will be made so that we can upload them as soon as possible.

Let's have some fun with it. If you spot it, let me know. Don't post it in the comment section, but instead email me here. The first correct response will get a nifty(I think) prize package, and I think we can scrounge up a few things for the next half a dozen or so griffin-eyed fans.

The only clue I will give is that the mistake is not on this site, but is on the Facebook page for The Blademage Saga. The contest ends as soon as there are 7 winners, someone blabs on any comments section, or we get the issue fixed. Winners based on e-mail delivery time stamp.

Good luck!

Third Wrimester?

Blademage Adept is set up for pre-orders, and they are rolling in without advertising. The support is amazing. If I had a spare moment, I might break down and cry.
Special thanks to Russell Traughber, another local author (Nonfiction, Biography), that suggested doing a layer of edits with a text-to-speech program. I used the default Narrator program on my convertible (The third voice... Zira? I like her accent). Caught more than a few edits I would have otherwise missed.
Scheduling some time to do this with the first two books, to polish up the versions I have almost ready to upload to Kindle for correction. The transition to print should be easy enough from there. We'll see.
As soon as final edits are done, I can dig into volume 4. I've got much better outlines than I had for Adept, it should go much smoother.
Depending on the consulting hours tomorrow, I may be able to finish my social media and commercial site updates, and jump into story mode a few day or two early. The tension due to the editing process has been mostly erased by attending a local annual gathering that we shall refer to as MFN. Good friends, good food, good times. Reduced tension means a better chance that more characters will survive. I can't imagine how much tension the other Martin is under.
Anyway, this site is mostly up to date, and as soon as the rest of the internet is fixed, it's go time.

No Turning Back

Third draft off to the editor. Release date officially set. Adrenaline level: Epic.
